Community Outreach

We strive to be community driven and have a lot to share!  We believe that local participation can enrich the lives and growth of our community. 

As we work towards the restoration of our orchard and pond, we are making bi-monthly fresh harvest donations to Santa Cruz Barrios Unidos, a local institute for Peace and Community Development. 

We support Barrios Unidos mission to promote multicultural social justice, nonviolence, and economic equity through cultural healing, civic leadership, and community development.

In the coming years as we further develop, we aim to engage and educate our community with environmental stewardship.  We will host Outdoor Classrooms, offer educational resources, and lead by example.  Our community outreach goal as dedicated land stewards is to empower our community to foster a deep sense of ownership and responsibility for our shared natural resources.  

The regeneration of the Red Hawk Hill pond habitat will take time, dedication, and a strong community team.  Together, we will cultivate a healthy ecosystem and preserve the beauty and balance of the Zayante Sandhills for generations to come.
